Custom Expert Grids - You as an Expert
The Expert Grid is a great way of promoting yourself. We created one (look right) so affiliates could contact us. It’s not difficult to setup and is a great way of promoting yourself and creating an additional revenue stream on your blog or website.
Creating a Expert Grid with specific experts has different steps, so follow that link.
Step 1 - Setup an account
- Apply as an expert at LivePerson
*accounts need to be approved
Step 2 - Get your Member ID number
Step 3 - Choosing what Expert Grid to use
- Select the Expert Grid by clicking on Create Ad Now!
- You have four options for how to display your grid
- Square
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Hacked Version
*I prefer either the vertical or hacked version.
The hacked version takes a few extra steps once completed. In step 1 of the wizard select “300×250 (2 experts)” from Square. Continue the wizard following the steps below and then visit Creating the Hacked Version (a link is also at the end of this guide).
Step 4 - Complete the wizard step-by-step
Note: You must select the category in which your expert profile is listed
Step 5 - Edits to the code
In order to have the Expert Grid show you (or who ever you select as an expert) show in the grid, you will need to edit the final code.
- Copy & paste the code into a text editor (notebook, wordpad, etc)
- Find the last line of code. It starts with “<script type=” and ends with “&SortBy=9′></script>”
- Add in your Member ID here:
“&SortBy=9&ExpertIDs=XXXXXX’></script>”
XXXXXX is where you insert your Member ID written down in step 2 - If you want to include multiple experts separate the IDs with a comma (”,”) and no space
Step 6 - Upload the Expert Grid
- Copy the grid into your site and upload.
